[Healeys] 100/6 engines with prefix 26C

Here`s a question to the 100/6 experts.
Some 100/6 cars were fitted with engines prefix  26C, not 1C-H or 26D.
Does anyone know about them.  We have about 10 on the UK register and we
couldn`t find anything in the books about them.
Would be great to have an answer on this.
