Jack,
Same with me. I just turn off my right hearing aid and my left CI, "cochlear
implant".
They both also give me and advantage of being able to use my cell phone while
driving in noisy situations and when I select "T-coil" and wearing a "wireless
loop" the sound goes right into the hearing devices for a perfect "background
noise free call".

The noise doesn't bother me. I turn off my hearing aids.
