[Healeys] gas tank seal

when i bought my supposedly "rust free" bn6 in california, i soon discovered a PO had put foam rubber under the tank. the sheet metal underneath was rotted out and the a new trunk pan had to be welded in.  i put new hard rubber seal around the opening and used a hard rubber strip between tank and pan.  naturally, i fibreglassed the bottom of the tank to prevent any rust or corrosion there.    hjim
