[Healeys] Break Pedal

Hi All
        I am experiencing a problem with the break pedal an my BN1 on the
pedal assembly the short arm that connects to the master cylinder hits the
foot well thus not allowing the pedal to be in the fully off position. The
approx length of this arm 3 inch if I were to shorten by about 1/2 inch and re
position the hole that connects to the push rod brake master
cylinder .Does any one see a problem
