I am slightly confused here, but let me then rephrase the question to 2
different ones:

- what was he material used originally for carpets in a 100?
- Is there any place I can buy good quality (OEM? Better?) carpet material?
(Preferably in Europe..)

I have a very good shop here which does upholstery, carpets, etc. for vintage
cars. The only problem with them is there is about 6-12 month waiting time to
get an appointmentb& Yes, they are that goodb& b:
