 Ken,
I think you will achieve what you want with any "next step up from BJ8
cam". The cost will probably also be to your fuel mileage. There hasn't
been any world changing cam tech changes applicable to our engines since
1966. The best I ever get from my "next step up" engine is 17mpg. I
think the stock cammed road tests of the day reported 20 something.
