Use a press if at all possible.  A C-clamp might work, but make sure the 
bush goes in straight.  Soak the bush in warm oil for an hour or so 
before installing.

No way I'd pound it in.  You might break something or at least form a 
ridge on the end of the bush you're pounding on.
