[Healeys] Headlight wiring

I have connected wiring to the parking (light) and headlights in my '65 BJ8
MKIII, Phase II early, and I have only one option working.  I do not know if
they are high beams or low beams, but when I hit the dim switch with my left
foot the lights go out.  Is there something I do not know about wiring the
headlights?  Parking and directionals are fine.
