Might you know if your power is 60 or 50 cycles per second. I remember back 
in the 50's when I was stationed overseas, the guys would purchase very good 
Grundig (not sure about the spelling) record players/radios in Europe and 
wwe have to have a machinist mill a different spindle for the records to 
turn because of the difference in cycles.
