If you don't have previous experience soldering, send it to a pro, you will
not regret it.

Assunto: [Healeys] soldering fitting to steel fuel line
I need some advise on how to solder the original brass/bronze fittings onto
the end of new steel fuel line. I have tried cleaning both parts with scotch
brite pad & using rosin flux & heating with a torch, but I cannot get the
solder
to flow onto the steel line. I was hoping to avoid using acid flux because it
seems so hard to completely remove any traces resulting in corrosion in the
area of the joint. Does anyone have any actual experience in this area?
