[Healeys] Special colours

The BJ8 Registry currently has a record of 6,962 cars worldwide (39% of
total production). Of these, original manufacturing details from the BMIHT
is held for 1,441 of them (8%). Although the percentage is rather small,
for BJ8s there is only one car so far recorded that has a non-standard paint
colour from the factory. This was HBJ8/42230G, a right-hand drive "Silver
Grey" car with red trim/white piping and a black top.

It may have been possible for Joe Bleaux off the street to order a BJ8 with
a special colour, but so far there is no evidence of that in the record.
The Silver Grey car was a special production for the daughter of Lord
Lambourn. That information comes to me from someone who should know, but
the certificate for this car says for Destination: "Not Recorded". It
would seem that, as in many aspects of life, if one has enough influence,
anything can be done.

Hi Listers,
Did Austin Healey usually (or occasionally) offer special orders such as
non regular, non catalog colours or trims?
If yes, what colours were used?
