I am looking to purchase 72 spoke Dayton Chromes with tires. I've been
following the list and Hendricks seems to be best..however in checking Coker
gave me a cheaper quote with a better tire. Has anyone dealt with Coker.
Hendricks with Kumo's and Coker with XZX.

Think twice about buying tires and wheels separately--do you have a place
that can mount the tires and is experienced with wire wheels? Alan Hendrix
does a wonderful job mounting, truing and balancing tires, and there's no one
nicer and who does more for our marque than him. Sometimes there's more to it
than just the best price.

BTW I have been running Michelin XZX's on both my Healeys for several years,
primarily because of their profile--they're okay but nothing wonderful when
it comes to dealing with understeer. I don't know anything about the Kumo's
but I believe Alan is still recommending the Vredestein's and everyone I know
who has them says that they are great.

Best--Michael Oritt
