Go at least 12ft.

My dad's shop is 11ft.  I left some marks on his ceiling with my GT6 bonnet
when using his 4 post years ago.   I'm not sure if he knows about it,  so
shhhhh.  :-D



If you are building from scratch, pour plenty of concrete to have the
option to install a 2 post lift.  I much prefer working under a 2 post.
