I remember some company that made a capturing bracket that fit over the gear housing that prevented it from coming apart.  I know this may not be valuable information because of the lack of info.  I believe the tube would pull out of the housing.Sent via the Samsung Galaxy S23+ 5G, an AT&T 5G smartphone

Greg,          I've noticed Moss does have this verbiage with their currently supplied racks. Likely a CYA measure from their legal department.  "Please note: all our Triumph racks are for street use only – they are not suitable for racing of any kind. Modern suspensions and wide sticky tires generate forces the original Triumph design is simply not designed for, even with the improvements we have made.  "Jason SukeyJS Performance Motoring, LLC440.984.7720jason at jsperformancemotoring.comwww.jspmparts.comhttps://www.facebook.com/JSPerformanceMotoring/On Mon, Nov 24, 2025 at 12:58 PM Greg Blake <gblake58tr3 at icloud.com> wrote:Pop’s had one of the quick racks fail on track at the Kastner Cup in 2014. We sent it back to Moss and they supposedly redesigned the rack and improved it. They sent him a replacement for free. You may want to reach out to Moss and get the story on what design changes they made if you are interested. GregSent from my iPhoneOn Nov 24, 2025, at 11:46, Mark Cook via Fot <fot at autox.team.net> wrote:Jason,

Thanks - based on the cheaper price at $286, the BPNW quick rack must be the lower quality Argentine version, than the stock one for $441 which they clearly state is made in Germany.

Appreciate the info!

Mark,
The lower cost quick racks are described as "not suitable for competition use".   Made in Argentina if I'm not mistaken.  I've heard stories of these failing on the track.

On my GT6, I've been running the Made in Germany version sourced from BPNW with good luck.
I see they also offer that in the TR6 fitment.

This is the stock ratio, not a quick version.

Looking to replace one of my TR6 race car steering racks which is wearing out.  Other than a 2.5 quick rack, any particular recommendations, where to purchase?

Thanks,
