[Fot] TR6 race car re-build - Fuel line questions

I agree with Jason on the location of the regulator. My Holly regulator is mounted on the firewall bulkhead, with a tap for the fuel pressure gauge on the dash right off the regulator.
My GT6 runs triple webers, 6 AN line from the rear. The pump is a facet 40–105, puts out plenty of fuel flow. It’s rated at one to four psi. My regulator is set for a three psi discharge. Webers don’t like to see any more than that.. Fuel filter in the rear upstream of the pump. It’s a fram canister filter.
As a sidenote, I think having the fuel pressure gauge visible is handy so you have a confirmation that the fuel pump is working fine. That said, those facets seem to run forever, and I just replaced my first one after 15 years.
One thing I think you’ll find with the webers, which are great, is that they have big float bowls. When you shut off the car, shut off the fuel pump first, and let it run a couple minutes to drain down the fuel bowls. That way you don’t have hot fuel from the exhaust manifold heat when you try to start the car again.
Seems to work much better! I’m usually killing the fuel pump as I roll off the track into the pits.

Also, thoughts on 100% steel braided PTFE, or combination of metal fuel line (front to back) with braided to connect to the fuel cell and Webers? Fuel pump, filter and pressure regulator will be in the trunk with the fuel cell. Return line? The 6 previously had fuel injection and a fuel return line. Not sure it is necessary for the Webers.
