Thanks for the responses Guys
Country of origin really doesn't bother me until it impacts quality. The
*story* was someone did a cut away and the internals were inferior,
implying that when the manufacturing was offshored either the spec differed
or those manufacturing took liberties. And the trouble was, looking from
the outside, everything looked the same. No idea of what made them do the
cut away.
All that said, I don't want to malign anyone without evidence, this is all
hear-say. (I was looking to FOT for experience), maybe I can get
Bob-is-the-oil-guy to peel a couple apart. Meanwhile I have two on the
shelf from Mann & Hummel (a German co) mfg in NC and these were about $10
per.
