The <i><b>story</b></i> was someone did a cut away and the internals were inferior, implying that when the manufacturing was offshored either the spec differed or those manufacturing took liberties. And the trouble was, looking from the outside, everything looked the same. No idea of what made them do the cut away.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:large">All that said, I don't want to malign anyone without evidence, this is all hear-say. (I was looking to FOT for experience), maybe I can get Bob-is-the-oil-guy to peel a couple apart. The Napa Gold 1516 supposedly made by Wix is also make in Mexico. I used to be in the oil filter business. The country of origin has to be on the product. </div><div dir="ltr"><br></div><div dir="ltr">Oil filters are made in many countries. My son-in-law bought an oil filter for his Porsche Cayenne from Autozone that was make in South Korea. They should be made my Mann or Malhe, etc. I bought a 5/16 in universal fuel filter once made in Russia of all places. I used to sell fuel filters made in Israel.
