This is how Bob Schaller configured Carbs on the TR3 I have. Note it is also running the longer intake

Greg;
You could consider swapping the carbs, putting the float bowls between the carbs. I don’t know if there is enough room to do that, but I think the Volvo B18 engine had HS6’s with the float bowls between the carbs.
