Same for me…the grip is about the same, but Hoosiers give no warning when they loose grip while the Toyo’s do. And Hoosiers begin to fade after one three day event and are done after three. I have two events on the Toyo’s and they feel just like they were new. I have not tried them in rain yet, but happy to hear from Tony that Toyo’s are better, the Hoosiers certainly are not. I did notice the Toyo’s talk to you almost like a street tire when they are at the limit..so you got not only the seat of your pants feel, but screaming to tell you “that’s all folks”.

I get much longer tire life (primary factor in the switch), they don't get greasy halfway through a session like the Speedsters do (or at least they did for me), traction and handling characteristics are very similar, forgiving breakaway, and MUCH better in the wet than Speedsters. I had to go plus 1 on the wheel diameter to keep the tire diameter the same since they don't make the R888R in 60 series. I run 205/55-16's, but have run the 205/50 15's in the past and they are fine too.
