Original 1956 ‘Bill Devin junior Deluxe’ go kart.
This is EXTREMELY RARE!! Especially to be complete with chassis.
These were made as a ‘side gig’ by Devin sports cars in the 1950s to encourage interest in their sports car bodies.
It was gifted to the original Calgary owner (a late family friend) at the age of 7 in 1959 (seen in the black and white photo) by his uncle who worked for Bill Devin, building sports car bodies in the late 50s and early 60s.
It is in unrestored and untouched condition awaiting restoration, or to be left as-is to preserve its history.
A restored Devin jr. Deluxe sold at Bonhams auctions for just shy of $15,000usd and I am unaware of any other example that have gone to auction or been sold with a full chassis since.
Included is the complete body and chassis as pictured, an original set of loose tires, recreation acrylic wind screen, original 1950s Devin sales flyers and advertisements, the original black and white 1959 photograph, as well as a short written history of the original owner.
-This is best suited to a collector or restorer. Given its rarity and history, it’s not really a kids toy
Asking $4600
-Located in Airdrie Alberta
-403*464*1 five five five
Not interested in trades.
