Agree. Driving with a Quaife taught me tons about managing weight transfer.

If you want adjustable ramps, then Gripper looks like a good option. If you want a no-drama diff, get a Quaife and drive s-m-o-o-t-h.

I don't know what the "Gripper" is, but if it is anything like "Phantom Grip" that you add to a stock diff to create friction to "lock" the two sides, It doesn't work. The Quaife works fine until you lose drive on one of the two sides and then it totally uncouples the diff from the drive train. You end up pushing the car off the track.

Scott,
Just my two cents worth (no cash value), but we have a Detroit locker in the TR3 and my wife runs a welded diff in the TR6. I raced both this weekend at RA, and frankly don't notice any difference except in the pits or pushing the car. Bear in mind that neither us, nor our cars have ever been described as super-fast. I do notice the difference when racing my Bugeye with an open diff, as it lifts the inside rear and loses drive.

Does anyone have experience with a Gripper diff - or a Quaiffe? I currently run a welded diff in the GT6 and am contemplating whether any advantage could be gained by making a swap. Certainly curious as to what the super fast GT6s at the Kastner Cup were running.
