[Fot] Connecting rod question

I can't recall the size of ARP the bolts in the Carrillo rods I have, but they are the larger of the two different ARP sizes, at least 5/16" maybe 3/8", and are reusable if they haven't been over stretched. Of course, the rods must also be different than those with the 1/4" bolt design. I have literature from Carrillo, but I double and triple checked the facts of the fasteners before reusing them. I called Carrillo too. The rods were used previously to my acquiring them, with the included bolts.
I was sure glad I didn't have to spend $46 each, or whatever they were at the time, but I'm sure it was something like that, and I made damn sure everything was in good order before moving forward.

I did measure them for yield each time I used them, but I mostly went by feel while torquing them up. There were just times when you could feel them stretch the normal amount and some times when you could feel them streeeeeetch a bit more. I replaced them at that point, regardless of what the measurements said. Never had one break in use though, while I did have a 5/16ths ARP rod bolt break in a lightened stock rod.

I’ve never had a failure in action, but did overstretch one because I used ARP lube instead of Carillo lube - the arp lube is slicker. Those bolts cost about $42 each! I now use the correct lube, measure them before and after I install and uninstall them, etc. No issues at 7000 rpm, just about every shift.
