I would have thought so, too, but dogs don’t actually seem to mind it.  My dad always brought his dog Jake to the track with him and he didn’t seem to care much about the loud noises.

Question:
Dogs hear much better than humans.
The race engines are loud enough that humans wear ear protection.
Wouldn’t it be a kind of torture for the dog to expose them to noise levels of that high?

We are planning to bring the TR4 to Road America for the Kastner Cup. We got a new puppy this year and we are wondering if we can bring her to the track. If it's a no I think my wife will skip the trip.
