Well, I forgot about two really fast Baby Doll Morgans that have always run wires and finish at the front of the pack regularly. Wires are still popular at the Goodwood event too.

Modern, uber sticky radia race rubber like the Hoosier Speedsters is a recipe for trouble. None of the front running TRs that I know of are running wire wheels. There are very good reasons for this.

I will be running wires likely with Hoosier Speedsters, and am curious what others are using. 72 spoke, or 60? 15 x 5" or 15 x 6"?
