The TR3's inner wing panel is very close to the front edge of the front 
45DCOE mounted on a TWM manifold and I didn't want to cut the inner wing 
panel for additional clearance. The only way I could make it work was by 
going to a itg bolt on radiused inlet (13mm high) and one of the sausage 
shaped itg air filters. People with TR4s have space the TR3 doesn't and 
Morgan folks can just switch to a super sport bonnet.

The itg radiused inlet (which is just an air horn lip) and itg sausage 
shaped air filter was the only solution I could find to put an air 
filter on aTR3 with TWM manifold and 45DCOE and not cut up the inner 
wing panel. I didn't want to use a sock type filter because they create 
turbulence at the lip of the air horn.

The itg air filter I use, itg-JC40S-40 (fits TR2-4A engines with DCOEs) 
takes the itg 28-JC-50 back plate

Sorry but no help for a Ford engine other than suggesting you check out 
itg filter products.
