If memory serves, it's Ted's TSI-275-6. But that was 20-ish years ago :-)

Subject: Re: [Fot] GT6 Trani removal I did cut the tunnel back to clear the back of the trani. Maybe I'll give it a try from cockpit side before giving in to whats smart. Or necessary. Thanks for the input. P.J. Bye the way, Scott do you recall what cam you put in Col. Mustard?

Is it longer, so the tail of the trans is under the transmission tunnel? If so, can’t do it. Or, did the tunnel get cut back - i made a removable section for my TR6 trans in my GT6.It’s such a pain to pull from inside, realign the clutch disc, etc, that i usually just pull the engine.Scott

Before I put that trans in Col. Mustard, I had stock transmissions in and out of the car like popcorn, mostly, if not always, without pulling the engine. Both 4-speeds and at least one with a D-type OD. With the small boost in power over stock, and the heavy track day use, they just didn't last. That's why I finally put the Toyota trans in.
IIRC, I put the Toyota trans in when I rebuilt the engine around 2001, so I don't have any experience taking the Toyota trans out through the cockpit. It's a heavy sumbitch, compared to the stock trans, but I bet it could be done with enough willing hands.

Subject: [Fot] GT6 Trani removal Hi group. I had what I suspect is a clutch failure in my GT6. TR6 engine with Toyota T50 trans. My question is can I remove the trans, from inside the car or do I need to pull the engine? I have never done it before without pulling the engine but I would like to this time..This is a street car .. Thanks. P.J._______________________________________________
