[Fot] rear springs for the TR6 endurance race car

Bob,

I gave up on Triumph springs a long time ago. I adapted some adjustable spring perches for the rear and now use

Eibach 2.5 x 8” x #550 springs in the rear. I use double adjustable QA-1 shocks front & rear.

There is a really great variety of springs if you can get away from “ Triumph “ springs.

The great thing is they are a fraction of the cost of factory springs and I can accurately corner weight the car which

made a big difference in handling and my lap times. The car is really neutral. The fronts I have Swift brand 70MM ID x 6” @ #560.

3” frame clearance static. Yes, I have real coil overs on the front but I’ve been accused of worse.

This is TR4 but I don’t believe there is any difference in the suspension.

Subject: [Fot] rear springs for the TR6 endurance race car

In order to reduce the number of pit stops we've added a 16 gallon tank to the back of the endurance TR6 we campaign here in Texas. The car already rode low but now we have to do something about it. I used to run TriumphTune 550 LB rear springs in my TR4A and even then I wanted stiffer springs. Does anyone know of a source for 700 or 800 lb springs that fit the original configuration?
