[Fot] Float needle valves

 That was my only experience with Grose jets too, even with a fuel pressure regulator set low. Seemed like a decent idea conceptually but didn't work well in practice. Possibly their comparatively large seating area makes the float pressure inadequate to hold off the fuel pressure?Gary

 Phil,I use the plain old solid needles in both street and race cars and haven't had any issues. They do wear out eventually, but after 7 years in the race car, I still haven't had a problem.
