[Fot] Help Identifying this

One of those was in the brake system in my GT6 when I bought it.  Gone now.

That is an inline brake dampener. It is 1960's anti-lock. It absorbs the pulsing in the brake line and peddle due to things like a warped rotor or out of round drum. I used to use them back when I didn't have any money and raced with whatever junkyard parts I could cobble together.

Attached is a picture of something I used on my race car a long time ago, but now I can't remember what it was for.  Any ideas?  As you can see by the fittings on the sides, it was plumbed into the brake line.  That looks like a bleeder nipple on the bottom.
