[Fot] TR3 front end rebuild questions

Hi Greg,
The sleeve is usually loose on the pin. The manual says to not tighten the outer pin support bracket until the vehicle is on the ground and the suspension fully weighted. I always put a piece of blue or yellow painters tape on fasteners that aren't torqued or tightened right away as a reminder to go back to the later.

There is about 0.004” clearance between The new steel bushings I have and the suspension cross pin welded to the frame. Once you install a control arm, you can feel this clearance as slop with that one arm installed. I’m assuming the majority of this slop will disappear once I install the remainder of the suspension pieces and bolt them all together. But wanted to ask, does that clearance sound right? Seems excessive to me.
