I mention that recording at 2.7K will help get the best stabilization. Since writing the article I have gotten a Hero 8 Black and have found the stabilization to be very good at 4K, so you can’t go wrong there either.
To sum it up - 24 or 30 frames a second. 24 gives better detail and more of a sensation of speed. 4K resolution. Stabilization on high as possible. I like the lower color settings as the GoPro color can be quite punchy and fake looking. Limit ISO to 1600 or less.
