I can’t help you with the profile, but just want to say that this is a wonderful project for you and your son. David and I did the same thing. He started a frame-off restoration of a TR6 at age 12. Finished in time to drive it to school in the spring of his senior year.  Now, 30 ish years later he still has the TR6 and we are racing TR4s together. A great experience at so many levels!
Please keep us informed with pictures of Will’s and your journey.
