Hi,
I know that wheels are wear items. But I have a question regarding Panasport wheels that perhaps translates to others. The 8-spoke Panasports are painted. And that means you'll get various marks and dings over time. I have one rim that has a blemish that looks like it could be the start of a crack, but to die-test, I'd have to sand-blast the area clean and that's headed down a path I'd rather not take right now.
So, when in question - just toss?
Anyone care to share stories of crack testing aluminum rims that are painted and/or powder coated?
