Sorry for the misinformation on the Kastner Cup 2020 dates. Igot a reply back from someone answer the info@ emails to the track and they told me the incorrect dates for the Mid Ohio Vintage Grand Prix, so inevitably I posted those dates in error. My apologies...

Far be it from me to make corrections on fine details.? I can't remember if I had breakfast until I look in the mirror. ?
But I believe 1992 is correct.? And, of course, I remember the fine vintage racing in general, your own great performance in particular.? Kas was not there that year.? He was up at Lime Rock killing Porsches.? Bob Tullius was there, and he brought all of the Group 44 equipment, at least one of which, actually showed off out on the track (starting at the back, and quickly moving its way up to the front). ?
But the thing I remember most about that event was the number of street Triumphs that showed up.? Those that did were allowed a Track Tour out on the track, and they seemed to be nose to tail all the way around the circuit.? Who can forget Peter Egan's description of the event in the next issue of Road and Track, which started out something like, "I guess I knew that there were that many Triumphs, but who would have thought that they would all show up...". ?
Another fact that bares mentioning is how Mid-Ohio stepped up to the plate, as they were shocked at how many folks showed up for the event.? At the Saturday night Track Banquet they ended up feeding a lot more people than they could have planned for.? But they pulled it off.? I remember the line waiting to get to the food.? It seemed to be a mile long, from the tent down near the false grid, all the way back up to the grassy paddock area.? And who do you think was at the end of the line?? Bob Tullius!? I asked him, "Bob!? You're a VIP.? You belong at the head of the line."? He looked at me and said something like, "Nope!? I'm happy here.? I do not want to miss of second of this."
It was a very special event.

Thanks for working on this so early!? And, a great idea.I just cant imagine not making the event.? I was at the first Mid O Triumph gathering back in ....I think....'92?? Dentinger can correct me if I'm wrong.? And, I have a checkered flag signed by all the corner workers to prove it.
So, in the order you requestedMike JacksonTruck measures 21' from nose to end of the hitchTrailer measures 27' from hitch to closed back doorAwning on side of trailer reaches out maybe 6 or 7 ftNot staying at the trackcertainly interested in dinner Friday for as many as 4 heads

#yiv8199868495 P {margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;}I was going to wait until after the first of the year to do this but figured that it might be a good idea to start now while people are thinking about it and before your rigs are put away for the winter. I had a meeting earlier in the year with SVRA regarding our paddock spots. We will have our own spot on paved surface.? Open trailers will be required to park in the grass .It will be in the upper paddock but will be "concentrated" as the paved paddocks are not all that expansive. If it rains a bunch like it did this year and the track closes off the grass paddocks things will get cozy. SVRA will work with us and I have agreed to provide them with some counts and space requirements in advance. Hopefully this will make things go smoother once we arrive. So, here is what I need from you if you are planning on attending. 1) name, 2) tow vehicle size, 3) trailer size, 4) awning/canopy size, 5) will you be staying at the track in your rig?
 6) would you be interested in having our own FOT dinner Friday evening for around $25 a head?? This is not a commitment to attend on your part but will make the planning process much easier so if you are just thinking you will be there please reply or email me direct at trmarty at hotmail.com. Info will be used to size our paddock and determine how big of tent we will need to rent. The Friday night dinner is just in the investigation stages but I need to know how many people might be interested.? This event is looking to be a pretty big deal so I am hoping to do a bunch of pre-event work with SVRA well in advance so things go smoothly once we arrive.?
Thanks,Marty Sukey
