[Fot] Converting a TR250 to an Automatic Transmission

Dont know about an auto, but I have built an air over hydraulic clutch actuator - 12v air compressor (a good one, like 150 psi), small sir tank, high speed electronic air valve, proportional switch, pneumatic cylinder (150-300lb, 1“ throw)... end result is a clutch you can activate (proportionately) by squeezing a button on the steering wheel or on a shift knob

He really loves the car and would like to continue driving it as long as he is able.  Does anyone know of a person or company who has done this?   I suppose a complete engine AND gearbox swap might be an option but he would prefer to keep his original engine.
