One of my liners cracked when the intake valve broke off and rattled around a bit. Lesson replace the valves every two seasons....I was on the third season!

Hi,

the pistons last quite a while....5-10 years.
The rings need to be replaced every 3-4 years maybe, if they start leaking.
The liners, some last, others crack.

Cheers
Chris

Greetings FoT,
I just finished perfect season sans one session where I snapped off my gas pedal but better that than the brake.
After two great seasons on the motor I started seeing some fluxuations in my oil pressure so I'm going to go ahead and rebuild it.
I'll do a compression test today after a quick spin around the neighborhood.
Anyway, I just wanted to see what folks typically get for piston & liner life. I'm really only seeing a couple seasons.
Thanks for the input,
Jim g
