Triumphcompetition and British GT : Hockenheim 2016. It was raining all the
time during qualifying and both races. This is part 1 of the 2nd race.
Overall winner of both races were Philip Vermast/Florean Lübbert in the Ek
Klasse (Avon tyres) in a TR4 before Jaguars, Morgan, TR6 and the like!!! I
finished 8th overall of 35 cars and first in the Ec Klasse on Yokohama O48
tyres. Maybe the Avon tyres had a bit more traction than the Yokohama's but
Philip and Florean where really fantastic in the rain. 3rd in the 2nd (1
hour) race was Paul Lejeune, also on a TR4 in the Ek Klasse on Avon tyres
and only in his 2nd season with the Triumph Competition. He finished 2nd
overall in the 1st (30') race!
Next race week-end is at Zandvoort April 29th-May1st. Then also Yannick
Schygiel will be at the start with another Ec TR4. Yannick is a young driver
and was the fastest driver in the 2015 Triumph Competition season with his
own TR4 and the Morgan+8 of Paul Conway, but took part in only a few ...
