Dave,
I use the TR4A clutch and PP (the diaphragm type), which has held up well.

WRT the hardened pin, drill the fork and shaft to insert a 0.25 hardened bolt.
ISTR that the procedure is described on the Buckeye Triumphs site.  If you
can't find it, let me know
