I use things called Stat-O-Seals that come from Pegasus. They're a washer with
a Buna-N sealing ring built in. They come in various sizes and work great.
$1 to $3, jdepending on the size.
NFI.

My 1971 GT6 race car is spitting oil from the bolt holes at the valve cover.
Anyone have ideas on how to stop this oil loss?

  Thanx

I talked fwith Ted S. about this a while back. If your rings are worn, they
can be rejuvinated somewhat.
Put a sheet of medium sandpaper on a sheet of glass or something else very
flat, and sand a bit of material off the conical end of the ring. Sand in
ovals.
It may make your sychros sevicable again.
Anyone else tried this? It seems that the older products were of better
quality.
PS: I took the Barracuda for a drive today. It's a hoot to drive. That 273
pulls quite strongly.
Next up: the TR6.
Cheers, Bill
