[Fot] Dual Valve Springs

Some people have used compressed air (thru spark plug hole) to hold the valves
closed while undoing the collets and springs, but I prefer the method of
pushing some cotton cord down through the spark plug hole and then using the
piston to keep the valves pushed upward.

cylinder head. First do a compression check to confirm that there is no
internal damage to the combustion area. Run the piston to the top of the
cylinder you are working on. Then do as you stated to replace springs,
retainers, keepers. I also found that a bent slender screwdriver works
inserted through the spark plus hole to keep the valve you are working on from
slipping down. Roller rockers are nice. I use a double roller rocker setup and
i like it.
