Thanks.  I do understand that the after market distributors don't have the
mechanical tach hook up.  That is another of those costs that cause me to ask
about the benefits.

Aftermarket units tend
to not have the tach drive, you'll have to go electronic
if you want one. 
Just a week or so back we had a customer who wanted a new
distributor, but
backed off due to the tach issue.
