Mike, first off, consider which vintage bunch, or bunches, you want to run
with. Then contact the organization, or check their website, and see whose
schools they accept.
Some will accept the Mid Ohio school, SCCA, Skip Barbour, Bondurant, etc.
One of the best, for my $, is the VSCDA's Spring Brake, held at Gingerman in
early May. Great school, great track, and a good bunch of folks. I think
Duck Waddle is still instructing there.
I belong to SVRA, because their license is accepted anywhere. Also VRG,
'cause they are a good bunch.
SVRA will want newbies, no matter whose license you have, to take a Track
Orientation Program for every track. Ain't cheap but one of the instructors
is Peter Krause; he's good.
Talk to you later, Bill
