I used a $50 3/4" splined unit available from Jegs. It is available in
either a 3 or 5 hub bolt pattern.  Pegasus has a similar unit that uses a
slotted hex shaft with a pin release....

I am wondering whether any member shave fitted a quick release steering
wheel hub/mechanism to their TR7/8? If so, what brand etc. was used as I am
looking at this option as well. No use reinventing the wheel (pardon the
pun) if we don't have to!
