I have fitted one to my TR7 racer. I used a TR8 alloy wheel, made up an
aluminum plate to bolt to the back which in turn is bolted to the quick
release hub. The quick release nut was just welded onto the stock steering
wheel shaft. You can see the set up at the end of this video that I posted
after I got the car running the first time. The quick release hub and nut
are just the generic type you can buy, got mine on Ebay.

Dear lister's,
I am wondering whether any member shave fitted a quick release steering
wheel hub/mechanism to their TR7/8? If so, what brand etc. was used as I am
looking at this option as well. No use reinventing the wheel (pardon the
pun) if we don't have to!
Thank you in advance.
Kind Regards
