Hey, Henry, copy that!  All last year I wore the $900 "budget" HANS with the sliding tethers and never even noticed it was on.  After seeing Sid Lessard's Spitfire (same year as mine) impale the turn 9 guardrail head-on at the Glen last year (VRG), my first thought was "wow, I hope he was wearing a HANS, and I'm sure glad I am!"  
Good call, SVRA, in my opinion.
