something else to ck:..crank pulley shud be smaller than waterpump pulley 
or cavitation and too fast a speed will not allow cooling and wear-out 
pump..I use a 1500 pump with lge pulley and a smaller crank pulley....don't forget 
,these cars were made with 4-5000rpm max....racing is much higher and the 
waterpump needs to run slower than the crank
