[Fot] gearbox legality

Not really a metaphor. Those who were at Siebkins during the spring
race (I think it was an SVRA one, but I'm sure someone will set me
straight if I was wrong) may be acquainted with the bandolier of
bachelorettes. A fine bevy of young ladies showed up wearing
strangely colored wigs with a chaperone who seemed to be more likely
to get into deep trouble than her charges. They danced like wild
druids, held BS Levy up when he did a kind of matlock-style stage
dive into their midst, and performed a chair dance on one of the
mechanics in the middle of the dance floor. Then returned to Green
Bay, leaving a trail of broken hearts.
