[Fot] Tr-3 cars

My experiences with the IRS TR-4 were on race tires, BUT, I always liked a car
that oversteered just a bit, never understeer. This allowed the toss it into
the corner routine, let the slide slow you enough to make it the late late
apex. I never found that I could get enough stick to DRIVE through the
corners and do all that smooth business. I can remember listening to some of
the guys saying how they clipped the apex within a couple inches every around
and how wonderful it was to be smooth, of course they failed to mention they
were over a second slow.

My theory for fast laps is: you have two pedals, one of which should be full
on most of the time, that is, the brake or the gas.

But with that style of driving it is best have an understanding tire sponsor.
I was always hard on the tires and easy on the brakes. It was kind of fun too
'cause most folks really didn't want to go side by side with this really wide
TR.

Adjustable 5/16" rear bar & 11/16" front bar and about 1.5 negative rear
camber did the number just fine in most tracks for the IRS car. I don't that
has changed much.

Kas, could you enlighten us on "how to drive a TR-IRS car FAST", and have
the most fun? Or is that two different answers?

I always as thought the way to drive a TR-3 FAST was to stand on brakes
HARD, throw it sideways into the corner to finish the braking job and then
get back in it HARD. That is my favorite style of driving and it worked
really well in the TR-3. I called it driving "over the door", either
looking over the passenger door, or the drivers door, in every corner.
Pure
  fun.
