Actually, it wouldn't be hard to build AMB transponders, nothing in them
that's really proprietary. And that is the 'murrican way.

NO conspiracy. Taking 29 Cents worth of electronics, potting them in 3
Cents worth of plastic and selling it for $300.00 is the 'murican way. As
America has had to out source all of our service related activities, we
can no longer gather enough bodies to do actual T&S functions. That
leaves us to; do without, video link to India to have them do T&S, or use
a system like AMB.

AMB has us by the short hairs. Racers & Sanctioning bodies alike. There
are always software updates and new hardware needed to wrangle all those
ones & zeros.
