Rocky Mountain Speedway Corporation announced it is evaluating two land
parcels in Adams County at which it could build a motorsports entertainment
facility.

RMSC is a subsidiary of International Speedway Corporation, which promotes
more than 100 racing events annually, including the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series
Daytona 500. ISC owns and/or operates 13 major raceways nationwide, including
Daytona International Speedway and the Talladega Superspeedway.

RMSC says they are looking into a scenario in which the track near DIA would
be jointly funded with public and private funding.

The plan is in its early stages and the location, cost and payment structure
is as of yet undetermined, according to RMSC.

The raceway that is being considered would seat 75,000 fans, and would bring
a significant financial impact to the area, officials say.

RMSC says according to an economic impact survey commissioned by the Kansas
Speedway, the track generated about $150 million for the local economy in its
inaugural season of 2001.
